President Lekota of COPE was due to address the community this morning ahead of the by-election in Ward 6 due to take place on the 14th October. COPE had booked and paid for the community hall. This morning, ANC thugs, led by their candidate, invaded the hall and confiscated the keys to the hall. They put a sound system at the door to play loud music.
Because of this intimidation, provocation and harrassment, COPE has not found an alternative venue. Another example of why the ANC is not fit to govern. President Lekota will go door to door and meet with members of the community.
