The Congress of the People is disturbed by reports of the President of the Republic intervening in the governance and running of Eskom. Whatever the decisions of the board of Eskom or its management, for the President to interfere in the matter of the continued leadership of the parastatal is absolutely unacceptable.

The parastatal has lurched from one crisis to another and this has become a pattern, simply a sad new episode in the soapie, "Eishkom".
