The Hon. Dennis Bloem (COPE MP) says President Jacob Zuma must sack Minister of Education Angie Motsheka if he wants to rescue the nation’s from the current education crisis. The Congress of the People believes in a society where education is amongst one of the major priorities of government in order to terminate the illiteracy rate in South Africa. Section 28 (1) of the Bill of Rights states that every child has the right to basic nutrition, shelter, shelter, basic health care services and social services. COPE believes that the Minister of Education in her respective office is supposed to ensure that this right is better catered for to every child in South Africa. Secondly in her duty she is highly expected to bridge the gap between the urban and rural schools in this country.  We have monitored the evident failure of her office in provinces such as the Eastern Cape and Limpopo where scholars right to shelter and basic health care services have been strongly infringed. We also believe that our education system can better improve with a different engineer of the Department. The Congress of the people therefore strongly believes in the protection of the constitution and all rights within it. We promote free and equal allocation of all rights for all South Africans.
