The City’s Mobile Office will be deployed in Nyanga and Crossroads next week. In addition, the Basket of Services in Athlone presents an ideal opportunity for residents from the area to get assistance from City officials representing a variety of directorates. Read more below:

Athlone (Basket of Services): Thursday, 9 March 2023, from 09:00 to 15:00 at the Athlone Civic Centre, corner of Protea Road and Eland Street, Athlone

As for the Basket of Services, officials from various City departments will be in Athlone to assist residents with service and municipal account enquiries, these include:

Human Resources for enquiries about bursaries, internships and apprenticeships

Social Development to find out how you can get involved.

Economic Growth

Health for more information about primary health care services

Safety and Security for information about traffic and law enforcement services

EPWP will assist jobseekers and give unemployed youth an opportunity to register on the jobseekers database so that they are eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities.

‘The Mobile Office and Basket of Services are deployed to make City services accessible to as many residents as possible, in particular communities who are not in proximity to City offices. We have a team of officials that are well equipped to assist the residents with any enquiries relating to service delivery or municipal accounts. Residents will save time and money that they would have spent travelling to municipal offices. I encourage residents to please take advantage of this opportunity and remember to bring their ID and municipal account to help ease the process,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
