The Department of Basic Education has extended the deadline for registration of supplementary examinations for the class of 2014. The original closing date was Wednesday, 21 January 2015 and this has now been extended to Friday, 30 January 2015.
This special dispensation has been created to allow learners who have failed 3 subjects to register for 2 subjects and have an opportunity to rewrite during February 2015.
The extension will also afford those implicated in the mass copying investigation to register provisionally, pending the outcome of the investigation which will be announced later this week.
At the moment 135 943 learners qualify to sit for the supplementary examinations as a result of the outcome of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) results of 2014.
The supplementary exams will take place from 16 February 2015 to 24 March 2015 and the results will be released on 30 April 2015.
