I am greatly honoured to be part of this very important occasion and to be given an opportunity to officially open the event. I am particularly delighted that it is the Department of Education that sets the trend on the programme for Moral Regeneration because as we all know education was used by the apartheid regime as a launching pad for institutionalisation of apartheid ideology which saw the exclusion of the majority of this country from meaningful participation in the social and economic development of our country and the distortion of Black History and heroes.
Through education skilled citizenry were turned into monsters that, in the words of Father Mkatshwa, ,
