Title: N Balfour: Malmesbury Correctional Centre

ADDRESS BY THE MINISTER OF CORRECTIONAL SERVICES, MR BMN BALFOUR, MP, TO MEMBERS OF THE MALMESBURY CORRECTIONAL CENTRE, 8 November 2004

Programme Director
Regional Commissioner Bongani Gxilishe
Area Commissioner Sipho Manqele
Heads of Correctional Centres
Management Members and Members of Correctional Services

I am glad to have the opportunity to be with you this morning. I only wish that the circumstances could have been different. I come to you at a time that Correctional Services has been in the public eye for the wrong reasons.

Just yesterday, a tragedy played itself out in Pretoria. We lost two loyal and dedicated officials of Correctional Services. It was a needless loss of life. It should never have happened
