The ANC Youth League distances itself from City Press' antics of
misrepresenting reality about the ANC Youth League's official position on
the National Planning Commission appointees. Of all people who have been
appointed, the ANC Youth League directly relates to Comrade Chris Malikane,
who is a member of the ANC Youth League Political Advisory Committee. So for
a Professional liar called Moffet Mofokeng to claim that the ANC Youth
League opposes Chris Malikane on the basis that he was nominated by the
South African Communist Party is totally untrue.

The City Press continues to represent everything counter-revolutionary, with
very low levels of ethics and professionalism. A Journalist who wants to
write about the ANC Youth League should have the courtesy of asking for
official positions from the organisation's Spokespersons, and stop
attributing quotes to leaders of the ANC Youth League before speaking to
them. Like we did with other Newspapers who spread lies about the ANC Youth
League, we will report the Liar (Moffet Mofokeng) of the City Press to the
Press Ombudsman and expose his shenanigans.

The ANC Youth League has not expressed a view on the National Planning
Commission, and will after its National Working Committee meeting, yet would
never oppose the appointment of Comrade Chris Malikane.
