The decision of the National Executive Committee of the ANCYL was communicated to structures of the ANCYL in the North West Province by the Treasurer General and Convenor of the Province.

The National Executive Committee of the African National Congress Youth League took a decision at the sitting of the NEC of the ANCYL to dissolve the Provincial Executive Committee of the North West. The NEC of the ANCYL was of the conviction that due to the following reasons the decision to dissolve the Provincial Executive Committee:

• The PEC failed to take the ANCYL in the Province to a Provincial Conference;
• The term of office of the PEC had long expired;
• There is a need to strengthen and build organisational structures in the North West Province as part of organisational renewal in the Province.
The NEC further resolved that; due to the urgent need to fasttrack reviving structures of the ANCYL on the ground, a Provincial Conference Preparatory Committee must be established. This Committee will be charged with the responsibility of convening and presiding over the two remaining regional conferences within the shortest time possible. The Provincial Conference Preparatory Committee will be constituted as follows: Pule Mabe: Treasurer- General and Convenor, Lindiwe Gunuza, Paseka Lesatsi, Stanley Galane, Palesa Notsi including all Regional Secretaries, Regional Organisers and the Provincial Organisers of the Youth League in the North West Province.

The National Executive Committee further resolved that the North West Province will host the National General Council of the ANCYL from the 12th - 18th July 2010. All branches in good standing will attend the NGC of the ANCYL to inform a clear, more radical political programme towards the National General Council of the ANC in September 2010.
