>The ANC Youth League Economic Freedom Mass Action's first Day was
>exceptionally and outstandingly succesful, with the expected 5000 of
>protestors far exceeded by thousands of many youth, workers, students,
>and all South Africans from all genre. Despite the massive turnout, the
>ANC Youth League managed to keep high levels of discipline amongst the
>protestors and excellently marshalled them in what is evidently the
>greatest and longest mass action for economic freedom, not only in the
>history of South Africa, but the entire history of the African continent
>and the world.
>
>Never before in the world have youth been mobilised and willingly joined
>in a huge and long distance mass action to demand their rights. The mass
>action confirms that all the economic freedom issues raised by the ANC
>Youth League are genuine and appeal to an absolute majority of South
>Africans and progressive forces across the world. This is confirmed by
>the massive support and solidarity messages the ANC YL received from all
>over the world.
>
>On the first day, the ANC YL presented memorandums of demands to the
>Chamber of Mines and JSE. Currently, all protestors are being led by
>President Julius Malema on foot, in the longest walk for economic freedom
>to Pretoria. On Friday, the 28th of October, the Mass action will proceed
>to the Union Buildings at 09H00 to present a memorandum of demands to the
>South African State and government. Consistent with what happened today,
>high levels of discipline will be kept and maintained until conclusion of
>the Mass Action.
>
>More young people and all South Africans and sympathisers are called upon
>to join the Mass Action in Pretoria. It is now or never! Victory is
>Certain!
