The African National Congress Limpopo Provincial Congress which was supposed to officially begin on 10th of April 2010 has been delayed due to disputes on registration and credentials of Congress delegates. At Congress, there was a certain group of people who contended that they were supposed to be delegates and chose to interfere with congress proceedings, rather than adhere to the process that was outlined by the congress leadership.

Reports that there was throwing of chairs and altercations at the Provincial Congress are disgustingly incorrect and intended at portraying the ANC Youth League as an organisation which is at war with itself. The ANC Youth League National leadership has taken over administration and facilitation of the Provincial Congress and will make sure it concludes its business and objectives before the delegates return to their homes.

The ANC Youth League national leadership will live to keep its promise that all regional, provincial and national congresses of the ANC Youth League are peaceful and productive gatherings of the organisation with clear mandate to strengthen the organisation.
