The African National Congress Youth League welcomes and appreciates the final National Soccer Team announced by Coach Alberto Parreira to represent South Africa in the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup. We believe that the announced final 23 team of young soccer players will excellently represent South Africa in the world cup. The Bafana Bafana team announced today is undeniably the best soccer team to be produced in South Africa, with unquestionable capacity to go up to the last stage of the World Cup.

The ANC Youth League once again calls on Bafana Bafana to be reflective of the June 1976 generation of revolutionary youth who stood up against the repressive apartheid regime in what culminated in victory of the democratic forces. Bafana Bafana should fight with determination and dedicate all their efforts to the lives of many young people who stood up against the apartheid repression. All South Africans should stand firm, with no doubt that this time Bafana Bafana will in the true South African way illustrate to the world that we are winning nation.

The ANC Youth League will in the course of Bafana Bafana's progression to the next rounds (last 16; Quart-Finals; Semi-Finals; and Finals), be mobilising literally all young South Africans to hold the South African flag up high and cheer the boys to victory. ANC Youth League President Julius Malema will on Wednesday morning announce to the country through the official 2010 World Cup Station, Radio 2000, the ANC Youth League's programme to support Bafana Bafana. The announcement by the President will happen at 07H40 in the morning.
