The African National Congress Youth League calls for the inclusion of more
local and African artists in the FIFA World Cup Concert, which will be
happening on the 10th of June 2010 in Orlando Stadium. Whilst not opposed to
the inclusion of international artists, we are strongly convinced that South
African and African artists should be majority of artists who perform at the
concert.

 

The ANC Youth League believes that a FIFA World Cup in South Africa, which
will only happen once in a lifetime, should truly be an African World Cup,
and organisers should appreciate such a reality. The ANC Youth League will
soon seek audience with the Local Organising Committee to raise this issue
very strongly.
