The African National Congress (ANC) wished the Secretary General, Cde Gwede Mantashe, a happy 57th birthday, today, 21st June 2012. Cde Gwede Mantashe is the 14th General Secretary of the ANC. He holds a record for being the first trade unionist to be appointed to the Board of Directors of a JSE-listed company, Samancor. The SG as the Chief of Staff of the administration of the ANC is an inspiration and a pillar of strength to both the political as well as the administrative staff of the ANC. He is a visionary, educator and a revolutionary trendsetter of note. The ANC, its Leagues, Alliance partners as well as the Mass Democratic Movement wished the Secretary General, all the best on this momentous day.
