The African National Congress Working Committee (NWC) in its regular meeting
yesterday, the 19th October 2009, considered a report presented by the NEC
delegation to the Sakhile Township in Standerton - Mpumalanga, led by Fikile
Mbalula and Malusi Gigaba.
The report came as a result of consultation by the NEC delegation last week
in the Sakhile Township in response to the protests in the area.
Upon considering the report, the NWC made a decision that will be conveyed
by an NEC team led by Fikile Mbalula to the people of Sakhile and the
provincial ANC Leadership tomorrow.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, 21st October 2009, in the morning, the team will meet
with ANC provincial leadership, regional leadership, civil society as well
as faith-based organisation to give them feedback on the decision of the
NWC.
In the afternoon, the team will then address the community at the Sakhile
Stadium.
