A successful bilateral meeting between the leaderships of the African
National Congress and the Congress of South African Trade Unions ended
today in Johannesburg.
The meeting discussed a wide range of issues brought to the table by
both organisations - including economic policy, corruption, the media
and the strategic political centre. The discussions were intense,
frank and fruitful.
Time did not allow for all the issues to be resolved and it was agreed
that the Alliance Secretariat will urgently convene a series of
further meetings, including the Political Council, further bilaterals,
leading up to the Alliance Summit in June 2010.
