ANC STATEMENT ON THE BIRTHDAY OF THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT KGALEMA MOTLANTHE
The African National Congress congratulate the Deputy President of the ANC Comrade Kgalema's Motlanthe on his 63rd birthday today. The ANC wants to take this opportunity to thank the Deputy President for his selfless, consistent and impacable leadership and contribution to the selfless struggle and governance of our country. He ranks amongst those who opted for a life of servitude, harassment, imprisonment and trading his youthful life for a greater societal responsibility.
Comrade Kgalema is one of our exemplary and principled leaders of the ANC whose knowledge and depth is a continuous knowledge resource for our organisation and membership. As the ANC we are honored to have him as one of our leaders and we hope that on this day as we enjoy together with Mkuluwa his birthday, we re-commit to follow in his footsteps that embodies the values of selflessness, sacriface and service to our people. It is also appreciated that his birthday comes a day after we have celebrate one of our icon leaders, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. May he live long enough to continue his leadership contribution!
