The African National Congress (ANC) wishes all South African Athletes, representing 17 Sporting codes, all the best, as they will be representing South Africa at the upcoming Olympic Games to be held in London, from the 27th July to 12th August 2012.
As the ANC, we are fully behind team South Africa as they will be heading to London today, Thursday, 19 July 2012, to begin with their preparations for the Olympic Games.
We have no doubt that all Athletes will represent South Africa with great determination and zest. We are confident that they will come back home with well deserved medals and their heads held high.
We call upon all South Africans to be united in support of our Athletes of South Africa and the pride of our nation.
With the support of all South Africans, we are confident that team South Africa will perform better than they did in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
