This report from the Independent Evaluation Group finds that the World Bank made progress in gender integration from 2002 to 2008, integrating gender concerns in more than half of the relevant projects. However, the IEG found that there were two key gaps in the policy: the absence of a results framework and replacement of a generalised gender mainstreaming approach with a more selective country-level approach.
