AfriForum Youth on Monday laid a charge at the Brooklyn police station and UP management against students that this past weekend burgled the office of AfriForum Youth at the Tuks campus and took photos of the office.
This follows after the EFF student group on Sunday circulated these photos on social media and placed the following post on Twitter: “@afriforum @afriforumjeug Tuks, we are coming to take them down.”
Shortly after this incident on social media, some of AfriForum’s banners were removed from its office without consent.
Jaco Grobbelaar, AfriForum Youth’s Coordinator for the Tuks campus, says it is regrettable that the University went so far as to remove content from the office of AfriForum Youth.
According to Henrico Barnard, Spokesperson for AfriForum Tuks, the latest incident is simply another example of the double standards at the University, where management will rather accommodate radical groups at the expense of other students.
