AfriForum will present a report about hate speech as well as other polarising statements, made by senior ANC members since the election of Jacob Zuma as president, to the Minister of Arts and Culture, Paul Mashatile. The presentation will take place at the Department of Arts and Culture’s National Social Cohesion Summit.

The promotion of peaceful coexistence and mutual recognition and respect between different communities in South Africa is one of AfriForum’s guiding principles. This is why AfriForum will take part in the summit.

AfriForum believes that peaceful coexistence can only be realised in South Africa if the ANC takes responsibility for its own actions by stopping racist utterances among its own members.
