"The ACDP welcomes the suspension of Athletics South Africa (ASA) president, Leonard Chuene, which is long overdue. While we applaud the decision by SASCOC, we question why they took so long to take this important decision, which is in the best interest of sports in South Africa.
All members of ASA who have colluded with Chuene must also be suspended with immediate effect.
As SASCOC will be appointing new interim board, we recommend that they include Dr. Harold Adams, who resigned because he did not want to be part of a cover-up and corruption that was taking place within ASA".
