The ACDP President, Reverend Kenneth Meshoe, the National and Provincial Executive members, as well as ACDP members want to convey their sympathy with the family and friends of the late Mr. Eugene Terre'Blanche. It is our prayers that God, will comfort each one of you, through the working of the Holy Spirit.

Although the ACDP differs from the political view of the AWB, we regard human life above the organization. Man as God's creation is and will be important and needs to be treated with honour and respect.

The ACDP calls on every Christian or child of the living God, white, black and coloured, to prayer. We need to come before the Lord and ask Him to heal our land. This needs to go hand in hand with humbling ourselves and repentance. Our Government sidelined God and because of that we experience chaos all over our country. It is time that this is changed.

The ACDP calls on the Government to take up responsibility and to enforce law and order in South Africa. They need to ensure the safety of the citizens. Currently they do not take what is happening in our country very seriously. The need to attend to hate speech immediately. Serious legal steps should be taken against those uttering any form of hate speech.

Members of the public, should not, in view of the lack of action from the side of Government, take law and order into their own hands. We call on every citizen to stay calm even under the severe pressure that we are placed under. Revenge is not the answer.

The ACDP was and still is totally against the new firearms law and the implementation of it. It is leading to the disarming of law abiding citizens, while it does not address the handing in of illegal firearms. We call on all citizens to protect them at all cost. We need to be ready in the event of an attack on our person, on the lives of our loved ones and property. We must protect ourselves and should not be caught off guard. Please note that the ACDP promotes self defense and that we are against any form of criminal activity.
