Please be advised that Rand Water will implement a planned maintenance of its H5 Pipeline to undertake tie-in of a new portion of the H5 Pipeline to the existing H5 Pipeline. The H5 pipeline impacts on water provision to some parts of the City of Ekurhuleni.
The maintenance project is planned for 40-hours and will commence from 18:00 on Friday 9 June 2023 until 12:00pm on Sunday 11 June 2023. The maintenance project forms part of Rand Water’s augmentation strategy to refurbish and upgrade its infrastructure to ensure future sustainability.
Some residents of the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) will experience water supply shortages during the maintenance project. Rand Water has formally informed the affected municipal customer by issuing a 21-day advance notification of the planned maintenance to allow the entity to communicate with its affected customers, plan and execute appropriate contingency plans. The CoE will communicate the impact on water supply and the full list of affected areas to its customers.
Planned maintenance is necessary to ensure continuous future provision of water to our customers. We, apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused by the implementation of the maintenance project. We urge ALL consumers to continue using water sparingly.
