The Inkatha Freedom Party Youth Brigade (IFPYB) National Executive Committee (NEC) extends its heartfelt congratulations to IFP KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Provincial Chairperson, Cllr Thami Ntuli on being named the Premier Candidate for the province.

In the journey towards progress and prosperity, Cllr Ntuli's leadership plays an instrumental role in leading the province's structures to a successful election campaign.

The IFPYB NEC believes that Cllr Ntuli's long-standing history in the party and the various roles he has fulfilled together with his unwavering commitment, profound dedication, and exceptional leadership qualities, will make him an ideal Premier for KZN.

As the IFPYB we stand united in our unwavering support for Cllr. Ntuli as he embarks on this remarkable journey. We pledge our full commitment to working alongside him, empowering our youth, and championing the aspirations of future generations in the province.

Furthermore, the IFPYB NEC believes that in the wake of recent developments concerning the disbandment of the ANC KZN PEC in our province, it is imperative for us as the NEC to address the pressing issues facing our communities and provide a way forward.

The decision of the ANC NEC to disband the ANC KZN PEC underscores the deep-rooted corruption and systemic issues that have plagued our province for too long.

The suffering and hardship endured by the people of KwaZulu-Natal cannot be ignored. It is for this reason, that the IFPYB NEC will lend our full support to all the KZN Youth Brigade structures in the province, including our new Premier Candidate, Cllr Ntuli, to offer meaningful alternatives to the challenges faced under the ANC -administration.

URGENT CALL FOR CABINET RESHUFFLE: ADDRESSING CRITICAL FAILURES IN EDUCATION

His Excellency, President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa,

The IFPYB issue this urgent call to action regarding the dire situation within the Ministries of Higher Education, Science, & Innovation, as well as Basic Education.
It is with grave concern and unwavering determination that we urge you to initiate a government reshuffle, particularly regarding the removal of Minister Blade Nzimande from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and Minister Angie Motshekga from the Ministry of Basic Education.

Recent events, notably the delayed release of Matric results stand as stark reminders of the systemic failures and inefficiencies that continue to plague our education system that we as the IFPYB have longed warned about.

The consequences of such delays are not merely administrative inconveniences but have far–reaching implications that leaves countless students and families in distress, particularly those seeking admission to Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges and Universities.

The delayed release of Matric results has left many students in a state of limbo, unable to secure placements in educational institutions due to arbitrary timelines set forth by universities and TVETs.

This bureaucratic oversight has resulted in undue stress, financial strain and in some cases the complete disruption of academic pursuits for our young people.

The chronic underperformance and lack of accountability within the Ministries of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation as well as Basic Education have eroded public trust and confidence in the government’s ability to deliver on its mandate of providing quality education.

While 1,1 million poor students could not afford food, accommodation, toilet paper or even sanitary products, service providers raked in millions of rands and allegedly paid handsome kickbacks to the Chairperson of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), Ernest Khoza, NSFAS CEO Andile Nongogo, who has been fired and the Self-serving Minister of Higher Education and Training Blade Nzimande.

Recently, News24 has revealed that Nzimande’s advisor, Mr Tilson Manyoni, was allegedly awarded a R44 million NSFAS tender.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the selfish Minister Nzimande, thinks of NSFAS as a piggy bank for him and his comrades.

We therefore urge you to take decisive action and request that both Minister’s be relieved of their duties, for the sake of our country and our entire education system.

Issued by IFP Youth Brigade National Chairperson Sanele Zondo
