[1] This application concerns the extension of the contract of employment of the applicant as the Chief Executive Officer of the first respondent. The first respondent is a company established in terms of the provisions of the Companies Act, Act 71 of 2008 (hereinafter the Companies Act) which operates as a development agency established by the Alfred Nzo Municipality in terms of the provisions of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act of 2000 (hereinafter the Systems Act). The Municipality is the sole shareholder of the first respondent. The second respondent is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the first respondent and the third respondent is the Executive Mayor of the Alfred Nzo Municipality. The Municipality is not cited. The fourth respondent is the person who has been selected for appointment to the position of the CEO of the first respondent.
