Vaccination programme open for journalists of all ages

Media houses who submitted their details through the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) facilitated process for the vaccination registration of journalists are now urged to get their staff vaccinated at the nearest site.

All journalists, irrelevant of age group, will be eligible for the vaccination.

The South African National Editors Forum, GCIS and the Department of Health said on Friday that government had completed a bulk upload for the registration of all journalists who submitted their details to the GCIS.

Journalists and media houses can expect email notifications to confirm their registration on government’s Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS).

Government is still urging journalists aged 34 and older to self-register on the EVDS and get vaccinated forthwith.
