SADTU Northern Cape welcome and congratulate the newly appointment MEC for Education,  Hounaroble  Macollen Jack. The Premier, Dr Zamani Saul voiced out in his inaugural speech that education is a very critical department and his plan is to get it back on the right path.

We believe MEC Jack with his experience as an MEC and as a teacher by profession, understanding the importance of education in the lives of South Africans, will take our Northern Cape Education Department to greater heights and ensure that what the Premier and the people of the Northern Cape envisage about education is realised.

It has always been our understanding and belief that as the Province we can do better if we have one goal as all stakeholders in the education system.

It is without doubt that the 13195 education workers in the Province have hope in the newly appointed Education MEC, and he will not let us down.

As SADTU we are looking forward to working with the MEC like it has always been the case with all other MECs.

The common cause is to transform education in the Province.

We once more congratulate the Honourable MEC Jack and wish him well in his term of office.
