SA: Parliament extends condolences to Kgosana family and friends

The Parliament of South Africa has extended condolences to the Kgosana family, following the passing on of Philip Kgosana today in Pretoria at the age of 81. Such a loss leaves a void in the hearts of family, friends and the broader society of South Africa that will be difficult to fill.

Parliament appreciates the value and the contributions made by courageous and selfless anti-apartheid struggle combatants such as Mr Kgosana, who spared neither strength nor effort in ensuring the attainment of the freedom we enjoy today.

Even after the attainment of our democracy, he remained a fearless and uncompromising advocate for social justice, economic inclusiveness and land reform and as a defender for the poor and the vulnerable.

Parliament has no doubt that Mr Kgosana’s exemplary leadership and inspiring principles will continue to inspire the current and future generations.
