The Public Service Co- ordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC), in terms of Resolution 7 of 2015, established the Government Employees Housing Scheme (GEHS), which started operating on 1 July 2015. The purpose of the Scheme is to assist government employees to access affordable housing through the management of the housing allowance and other support interventions. PSCBC Resolution 5 of 2017 establishes an Advisory Body for the GEHS, which advises the Minister for Public Service and Administration on the following matters:
