POPCRU to convene a press conference on the state of readiness for the upcoming national march

15th September 2022

The Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (POPCRU) will be convening a press conference to give a detailed outline of logistical arrangements leading up to its national march to take place next week Tuesday, the 20th of September 2022, and the National Office Bearers (NOBs) will also utilise this opportunity to outline the demands to be delivered to the National Treasury and the Presidency respectively.

This press conference follows the union’s Special National Executive Committee (SNEC) meeting which took place after numerous consultations with our structures to assess our state of readiness, and after our provinces have been embarking on successful lunchtime pickets across departments within the Criminal Justice Cluster (CJC) since the beginning of this current month.

The press conference will take place as follows;

Date: Monday, 19 September 2022

Time: 10h00am

Venue: POPCRU House, Auckland Park

Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the press conference.
