I, Angelina Matsie Motshekga, Minister of Basic Education, after consultation with the Council of Education Ministers and in terms of sections 3(4) (b), (c), (e), (g) and (o) of the National Education Policy Act, 1 996 (No. 27 of 1996) read in conjunction with section 4 (1) and (2), section 5 (1), (2), (6), (8) and (9) and section 12 (4) and (5) of the South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act No. 84 of 1996), hereby give my intention to approve the draft Guidelines on Resourcing of an Inclusive Education System. I therefore invite stakeholder bodies and members of the public to comment on the draft Guidelines.
