It is just a few hours to go before the 9th Rugby World Cup tournament will kick-off in France with the country playing against the All Blacks of Nieu-Zeeland after the opening ceremony of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in Paris.

This is a big event for all South African’s who will join MISA, the Motor Industry Staff Association, in backing the Springboks who have won the tournament 3 times and will be defending their title as current World Champions.

“MISA’s more than 61 000 members will be cheering for the Springboks back at home once again and we know the national team will bring the William Webb Ellis Trophy back home where it belongs,” says Martlé Keyter, MISA’s Chief Executive Officer: Operations.

According to Keyter South African’s are despondent and negative due to continuous load shedding that has been escalated to level 6.

“Every industry, especially the retail motor industry, is bearing the brunt. New vehicle sales dropped with 3,1% in August to 45 679 units, the biggest year-on-year decline since December 2021. We urgently need some good news and there is no light at the end of the tunnel from Government’s side. So we need the Springboks to at least bring smiles to our faces,” says Keyter.

The Springboks will face Scotland on Sunday, 10 September at 17:45 for their first game.
