I, Mosebenzi Zwane, Minister of Mineral Resources, having regard to the national interest and the need to promote the sustainable development of the nation's mineral resources, hereby invites representations from relevant stakeholders on my intention to restrict the granting of any new application for a prospecting right and mining right in terms of section 16 and 22 and processing of applications for renewal of a prospecting right and renewal of a mining right in terms of section 18 and 24 of the Act and granting of section 11 applications of the Act, in respect of all Regions (Eastern Cape, Gauteng, Free State, KZN, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Northern Cape and Western Cape).
