Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula’s train ride form Chris Hani station to Langa station is set to take place on Tuesday, 25 June 2019.  The train ride - which was originally scheduled for 21 June 2019 - was postponed after the Minister was called to an urgent official engagement by the Presidency.
 
Members of the media are invited to join the Minister, the details are as follows:
Date:        Tuesday 25 June 2019
Time:       04:45am
     NB :( a shuttle arrangement has been organized for members of the media to depart from Cape Town station to Chris Hani station)
Venue:    Parking quadrant, Old Marine Drive Cape Town Train Station (point of departure).
 
 
05:30am:    Minister Mbalula and members of the media take a train ride from Chris Hani station to Langa station.
07:30am:    Minister Mbalula briefs members of the media on the immediate plans to turn around train services in the Western Cape.
