Allow me to express our warmest greetings to everyone present this morning on behalf of the provincial leadership of the African National Congress.

Comrade Programme Director, from the outset, allow me to congratulate the RTT for convening this Lekgotla.

I am impressed by the positive mood and comradeship prevailing since I arrived here this morning.

I wish to inform all delegates to this Lekgotla that cadres of the movement and members of society from across the province and the country, are encouraged by the fact that the RTT is setting a good example by convening this Lekgotla.

Judging by the positive messages I have received, I have no doubt that the excellent co-ordination of this gathering and the topics for discussion will inspire other comrades across the province to replicate your exemplary leadership.
