The Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA) is pleased to invite you to take part in its Sixth Annual Platinum Group Metals (PGM) Roundtable on the 15th of September 2021.

This year’s roundtable explores possible opportunities within the PGM sector that can contribute to a resilient and inclusive ‘post-pandemic’ economy. The objective of the 2021 PGM Roundtable is, therefore, to look closely at PGM beneficiation as a catalyst for economic recovery and reconstruction strategies, its value in climate change mitigation as well as the role of the hydrogen roadmap in the PGM sector.

In previous PGM Roundtables it has been noted that there is great potential for the PGM industry in South Africa and we have not been able to take full advantage of the country’s endowment. This is possible with continuous engagement and transparency between stakeholders. The MISTRA annual PGM Roundtable allows for such engagement.
