When we look back on the 25 years of South African democracy, we are struck by how far we have come – as a country and as a people. It has been 25 years of inspiring achievements built on the foundation of freedom.

We cherish our democracy and pay homage to all who built our country. We have spent 25 years supporting the vision of our Constitution by building a united South Africa based on human dignity, equality and the advancement of human rights.

At Glencore, we share these values. They inform the way we do business. We will continue living these values for the next 25 years and beyond.

We look forward to a South Africa with a strong, transformed economy that benefits all our citizens. A South Africa where we all feel safe and respected, and jointly forge our common destiny. A South Africa where we feed, develop and power our country efficiently and sustainably.

We have a long way to go to achieve this, but having come this far, we feel inspired to continue contributing to the growth of this country.
