EY Africa was named the Overall Africa Champion (non-listed) at the 9th Annual Gender Mainstreaming Awards at a virtual ceremony last night, the 9th of September 2021. 

The Gender Mainstreaming Awards aim to encourage the private sector to buy-in to achieving more meaningful representation of women in the mainstream of business. 

In South Africa, EY was named overall winner for non-listed organisations in the Equal Representation and Participation category; and also named winner in two further categories: Economic Empowerment and Empowerment of Women in the Community. 

EY Africa was also named the East Africa winner for Women Empowerment in the Workplace and overall winner for the category Equal Representation and Participation. 

In West Africa, EY Africa achieved the top spot for Investing in Young Women and once more, in the category of Equal Representation and Participation.
