Today at 13:00, DA Shadow Deputy Minister of Finance Dr Dion George MP and DA Member of the Appropriations Committee Ashor Sarupen MP will brief the media on the Party’s expectations for the upcoming first medium-term budget policy statement (MTBPS).

Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana’s maiden MTBPS  is set against the backdrop of rolling blackouts and rising inflation due to food and fuel increases. South Africa needs a post-pandemic economic recovery fiscal framework that is anchored on growth, debt stabilisation and support for the vulnerable.
