DA: The people of Bekkersdal will never know the freedom of service delivery under the ANC

DA Gauteng's Premier Candidate, Solly Msimanga

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng is well aware of the issues facing the people of Bekkersdal. Their plight and status of indignity is of the ANC’s making.

On Human Rights Day, the DA Leader, Mmusi Maimane, was with the community to deliver the Party’s message of change, and our commitment to put a job in every home, stop corruption, speed up the delivery of services, secure our borders, and deliver an honest and professional police service.

The liars and looters of Luthuli House have never cared about the people of Bekkersdal. It was in 2013 when the then Gauteng Premier, Nomvula Mokonyane, who has a taste for Bosasa-funded whiskey and chops, told the people of Bekkersdal “We [the ANC] don't want your dirty votes".

The DA has long committed to bringing change to Gauteng, and we call on the people of Bekkersdal, and communities across the province, to vote for the DA, so the DA Gauteng Premier Candidate, Solly Msimanga, can take Gauteng forward.

Rocks and burning tyres will not bring change to Gauteng. Change will only come when the people vote for change at the ballot box.

As the DA we only ask for your vote for five years, not “until Jesus comes”; and we commit to putting the people first and speeding up the delivery of services in that five years.

On 8 May, vote for the DA, and reject the ANC.
