The DA is saddened by the news of the passing of the legendary broadcaster and later station manager for UKhozi FM Welcome Bhodloza Nzimande. According to news reports, this trailblazer who pioneered traditional Maskandi music, passed away this morning.

Nzimande spent most of his life promoting indigenous music both on radio and television. His passing is a huge loss in the broadcasting and music industry.

The DA sends its heartfelt condolences to the Nzimande family, UKhozi FM family and friends. The province and the country as a whole has lost an icon.
