Mr/Madam Chairperson Mr Minister Mr Deputy Minister  

We live in a time of great uncertainty in our country.  

We are rocked daily by yet another scandal that would see governments of other country’s ousted, we see corruption scandal after corruption scandal,  

we witness the poverty index spiraling out of control,  

we see the cost of living now at a point of danger levels,  

we see the world’s finest Governor of an Independent Reserve Bank having no choice but to increase the repo rate regularly to ensure that inflation doesn’t simply drown our country,  

we see health services deteriorate to deadly levels,
