Today, the Knysna Municipality announced the arrival of Ombali Phineus Sebola as its newly appointed Municipal Manager. This followed a flawed selection process, an illegal Council meeting and secrecy over his salary and contract.

Sebola is not qualified for the role and was appointed to facilitate the theft of Knysna ratepayers’ money, as he did in Modimolle-Mookgophong Municipality.

The DA has reported this outrageous violation of due process and the law, and will challenge his appointment in court.
