DA condemns Metro Police closure of Mangaung

The Democratic Alliance (DA) condemns the closure of the Mangaung municipal offices today by the recently established Metro Police.

The closure of the Mangaung municipal offices today by the Metro Police is allegedly due to their appointment letters not having been signed by the municipality.

As a result of this closure, the IEC office cannot function and residents of Mangaung cannot be assisted with their municipal matters.

These events today once again proves that the ANC-led Mangaung does not have the ability to implement and effectively manage a metro police force. If the ANC cannot even sign appointment letters on time, how do they expect to govern an entire metro.

In DA governed metro’s there are functioning metro police forces that brings security and stability to residents. In the ANC governed Mangaung the metro police force brings about closures of municipal buildings and unrest.

The ANC have paralyzed Mangaung, and only a DA-run Mangaung can turn things around because the DA gets things done.
