I would like to announce the following changes within the DA Caucus in the Western Cape Legislature:

Following Ricardo Mackenzie’s appointment as Provincial Minister of Mobility, Derrick America will now serve as the Party’s Western Cape Spokesperson on Transport.

Derrick previously served on the Standing Committee on Transport and Infrastructure in the Provincial Legislature and will approach his new role with experience and a vast knowledge of the issues within the provincial and national transport landscape.

I would also like to congratulate Isaac Sileku and Gerrit Pretorius who, last week, were elected as the Chairpersons of the Local Government and Health Standing Committees, respectively.

The DA would like to wish our colleagues well in their new roles. We trust that they will serve in their positions with integrity and in the best interest of the people of our province.
