BOSA announces Ntokozo Biyela as KZN Premier candidate

Build One South Africa (BOSA) KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Premier candidate Ntokozo Biyela on Friday highlighted that his leadership experience will take the province to “another level”, with his belief in growing the economy and delivering services to residents.

BOSA said the decision to announce its KZN Premier candidate first was informed by the current politics of the province.

Biyela said he is a change catalyst, and believes youth development is an integral part of growing the country’s economy, as is the use of technology for effective delivery of services.

Biyela is a founding member of BOSA – having launched the party with its leadership in Soweto in 2022.

BOSA acting spokesperson Roger Solomons explained that now that the party’s candidate lists had been submitted to the Independent Electoral Commission – comprising 130 candidates for Parliament and all nine provincial legislatures – BOSA had begun to identify and nominate Premier candidates in all its strategic provinces.

Solomons explained that Biyela was number one on the party’s KZN list and would lead BOSA's campaign to bring about real change for the 12-million residents.

The party noted that all voting data, polling and research indicates that KZN is “open for the taking”, and the election to govern it has been blown wide open by recent political developments.

The African National Congress is set to lose its majority, BOSA predicted.

Moreover, BOSA believes that KZN is only second to Gauteng in terms of total number of voters residing in the province.

“Because of these high numbers, electing a new government in this province will likely mean a more substantial change in the national election results,” said Solomons.

He noted that Biyela had two decades of corporate leadership experience, highlighting that his business advisory and consulting knowledge had provided services for over 260 companies.

Biyela is a digital transformation and data governance specialist, a social commentator, a published author, a former columnist, online business show co-host and a regular radio business contributor.
