ARMSCOR: Fake Jobs Scam Warning

Armscor is urging all citizens to be aware of a scam doing rounds offering unsuspecting citizens jobs at the organisation. This phenomenon is mostly prevalent during the first and last quarter of the year where job seekers fall victims to such scams which offer false hope.

The modus operandi of this scam is to advertise on the website, such as best jobs in this case. Applicants then apply for these “aircraft” vacancies. They are then sent a text message that confirms their appointment subject to them bringing money and identification documents in order to be issued with uniforms and an access card.

Job seekers are warned to refrain from paying for jobs, as this is not a prerequisite to get a job. Armscor does not request money for any employment opportunities.

Vacancies are advertised on the Armscor website, www.armscor.co.za, applicants will be required to send their application for advertised positions to careers@armscor.co.za; this is the only legitimate and recognised process. Citizens are urged to enquire first at the organisation should they have any suspicions about advertised positions at Armscor.
