The ANC Youth League is shocked by the SA Zionist Federations’ uncalled for and unjustified insult against the ANC. In a nationally broadcasted ANN7 interview (www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CiipQ13Dh4&list=UUqeyHJhqw9ADs3HUYAbIbOg) the chairman of the South African Zionist Federation, Mr Avrom Krengel, stated publicly “The entire ANC elections strategy in the Western Cape is to try and convinced the black people in the Western Cape to keep the coloureds and whites out”.

The Zionist Federation and SA Jewish Board of Deputies are increasingly insulting of and undermining the ANC, making ridiculous attacks on the ANC and our leadership. We are shocked, but not surprised,  by political meddling by the pro-Israeli government lobby groups.  The lies and mistruths they are spreading place them in the political arena and squarely in opposition to the ANC.

The ANC is a non-racial, non-sexist and progressive political party. The ANC has many white and coloured people in leadership positions, there is no truth in Mr.  Avrom’s comments- only deliberate insult. The Western Cape ANC Youth League Chairperson did not mince his words when he stated “they, along with the broader Israel lobby, appear to be increasingly desperate to remove the ANC. Last week they attacked comrade Obed Bapela, this week they are singing the DA’s imperialist regime change agenda, frequently attacking the integrity of the ANC publicly.  South Africans know that they insult the ANC only because the ANC has taken a strong position against the Apartheid regime of Israel. The SAZF is clearly in opposition of the ANC, just like the DA and FF plus”. The ANCYL will increase its efforts to support the people of Palestine, we will not allow intimidation to hinder our principled stance.
