ANC statement on the untimely departure of Mrs Olive Yengeni

The ANC joins South Africans in mourning the untimely departure of Mrs Olive Yengeni after a short illness.

Mrs Olive Yengeni passed on, on the early hours of Sunday, 06 June 2021 in her family home in Milnerton in Cape Town.

Mrs Olive Yengeni is a mother to Cde Sthembiso Tony Yengeni who is a member of the National Working Committee and National Exevutive Committee of the ANC.

The agony of the passing on of Mrs Olive Yengeni is compounded by the fact that she departs the world of the living at a time when our country and global terrain is confronted and grappling with a global pandemic, COVID’19.

The ANC dips its revolutionary banner in conveying its heartfelt and sincere condolences to Comrade Tony Yengeni and family on the untimely passing on of their beloved Mom, Olive Yengeni.

Mrs Olive Yengeni will be laid to rest in a funeral service, guided and informed by COVID regulations and restrictions on Saturday, the 12th of June in Gugulethu, Cape Town.
